Certificate Authorities (CAs) are required to verify CAA records

08-09-2022 12:25:02

In accordance with the requirements of the CA / Browser Forum starting 8 September 2017, SSL certificate issuers will verify the CAA records in the DNS records of clients applying for SSL certificates.

If you enter a specific CA name, only the Certificate Authorities will be able to issue the certificate.

If you order an SSL certificate  check the CAA record in the DNS records of the domain.

If the CAA record is empty, you can instal any SSL.
If CAA has the name of the CA listed, you can install SSL of this Vendor. Change the CAA record if you want another CA or delete CAA.
If the domain you are ordering SSL for is in Domeny.pl, Certyfikatyssl.pl or SSL4Less you do not need to check the CAA.
